This article includes an array of ideas for the RE classroom and beyond. Possibilities include: involving a local artist to work with pupils to paint a wall with a religious theme, organising an RE film club, asking pupils to investigate an important issue such as climate change and stewardship, making a movie based on an ethical issue, engaging in an RE ‘Show and Tell’ session, participating in a special day conference or experiencing a visit to a faraway place.

There are also suggestions for the use of thinking skills in RE and ways to engage and inspire pupils with big questions.
